The Romford & District Canine Society was first formed in 1925. In July of that year an Application for Registration
of Title was sent to the Kennel Club, together with the fee of one pound, one shilling and one penny. That's just over
£1.05 in 'new' money. This was approved in September and the Club had it's first show on 28th November 1925
at the Corn Exchange, High Street, Romford. The founding joint secretaries Mr A Fletcher and Mr A Ferris would be proud
to know that the club they started is still going strong well into the next century.
Today the club is strong
as ever with weekly ringcraft training, monthly match nights and an annual all breeds open show.
